To be fair, a couple of the systems I have worked with have built in profanity censors, and would actively attempt to prevent you from typing in “Dick” as someone’s name.
Informal policy was “accidentally” misspell their name as “Dikc”
Used to work for a delivery company, someone on my team put down “Fuckhead” on a parcel because the guy was a fuckhead.
Big boss comes to our depot and goes off and hands out some warnings because apparently it was a very common thing to do at our depot. Lol
Fast forward a few weeks and the big boss comes back to town and he is pissed, he singles out one guy screaming at him saying he can’t believe he would reoffend so quickly.
They bring out the printed piece of paper with the guys signed parcel with the name “Dick”.
The driver said… that’s his name… read who it’s addressed to.
Lol, right there in nice bold printed text “Dick Surname”. Signed by “Dick”.
They didn’t even apologise to him, they actually recommended to change their names if it happens to also be a swear word.
Fun fact: The word latte on this Coffee is not only the italian word for milk but also a german slang word for hard-on (“Ich habe eine Latte” = “I got a hard-on”).
That was a Dick move
Quite the opposite of Dick.
It’s not dirt, it’s Dirté.
Boss move
Well your first mistake was Starbucks
Oh snap!
Were you wearing Birkenstocks by any chance?
Diké
it’s the french spelling.
I’m convinced it’s part of the Barista training to mess up peoples names.
Some point of sale systems won’t allow certain words to be used to nullify the ability to accidentally/intentionally offend. I’ve dealt with it.
I would have gone with “Deek”
They do that on purpose so you can advertise Starbucks on the internet. You’re working for free my man!
We’re you driving a van?
Maybe when you said “Dick” she got excited and wanted to put her finger in you.
Why don’t you go by Richard.. dick really?
Maybe she thought you were calling her a dick, and she responded in kind.
Cant you read it? it litterly says Dick. But you probbably just cant read Starbucks.. what a loser.
Seems like you asked her if she wanted some Dick and she told you on the cup what she is!
Van
Haha. You expect good spelling at minimum wage.
