This is beautiful! A very cool effect, too. At first I thought it was a round canvas held up in front of the actual tree! 😂
I don’t usually care for paintings that show the obvious connection to a photographic reference–when I have painted from a photo, I do my best to photograph without distortions, and manually correct for certain “tells.” But you have used it to advantage, and it’s admirable. My attitude has shifted.
