I doubt a babys cry is almost as loud as a plane and louder then a helicopter
Fun fact: time is a heavy factor when it comes to hearing damage. Low noise for a long time is like high noise under short time. More or less.. but dint forget dB is in a logarithmic scale. So having the stereo blasting while vacuuming is a bad idea.
Our Howitzer use to be like 170 or 180 db if I remember correctly. Crazy loud.
Work in a warehouse. How much dB does a wooden pallet falling flat onto the floor produce? There’s definitely a loud snap with a bit of a pressure wave and have had ringing in my ears for a couple hours afterward.
It seems I hear that a lot more than I hear a snowmobile (from the driver’s seat)
After taking care of 3 kids, my wife will agree with that about my hearing.
To be fair it’s your fault for putting the baby on that jet ski.
We are actually genitically wired to HATE the sound of a crying baby because it cuts right through any distractions and makes your brain go RAAAAAAAAAA! so you don’t just let your baby die because “it’s not really that annoying so it’s probably fine”
