I just realized there aren’t too many Egypt based games. Ubisoft did a stellar job recreating ancient Egypt with AC Origins.

Even a historian said that this was a realistic representation of egypt during that time
By far one the best AC games they made. Orgins is my favorite of the series.
Origins was amazing!
My favorite of the series. I dug the steady dopamine release of the leveling system and I was stunned by the beauty of the world but what really surprised me was how much I liked Bayek and cared about his story and his feelings about his dead son. After having felt nothing for so many Ubisoft stories and worlds (and after sitting out so many AC titles due to series fatigue) this game genuinely surprised me by being as good as everyone says it is.
The history mode where you go around learning about the different locations with cutscenes and narration is so fucking good
Serious Sam wasn’t enough for you?
People hate on the new AC “RPG trio” but I love them. Just exploring these big areas based on real life places feels almost like I’ve been teleported back in history.
I’m about 35% through this game and I love it! Ancient Egypt is one of my favorite times to learn about the game really is authentic in all aspects
i hope Kratos heads here next
A few Tomb Raider games also take place in Egypt.
I wish there was a game like Assasins Creed, but where they don’t waste your time on the modern storyline BS.
There’s an Egypt level in Cruisn World. I would not say it’s very accurate lol
I never got the chance to try this one, can someone give a small review of it in terms of gameplay and the story (no spoilers, just how you felt the history)
*sees sphinx for the first time
Me: I thought it’d be bigger
Bayek: I thought it’d be bigger
Kids these days don’t seem to remember *Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation*. Mummies, jeep rides, scorpions and what not. Good times.
The first serious Sam. One of the best games ever made.
I’m currently playing through Valhalla and loving it !!! but origins is still my absolute favourite
Pharaoh is the only other one I can think of.
Age of mythology has Egyptian gods.
Pretty sure Kratos is headed to kill Anubis and Co.
I played the absolute shit out of AC origins. Loved every minute
I’m waiting for the PS5 60 fps patch and I’m going balls deep into Origins.
You know what’s even more amazing?
I travelled to Egypt a few months ago and had this feeling like I’ve seen it all before – that’s cause I did, in AC:Origins. Luxor (Theba) was like a dream to me and at moments I was like – oh my God this is the exact place I played that side quest in.
Don’t care what people say, imo this was the best AC game since the Ezio trilogy. Ezio and Bayek were beautifully written characters and as I was going thru a rough break up with my gf of 5 years; Bayek was a character that stripped me to my core. His pain, anguish and hurt is perfectly shown, written and acted. The final speech he delivers at the end left me in silence with nothing but tears in my eyes. Then years later once my wounds healed and I looked back at my relationship with fond memories; I played the dlc and Bayek’s emotional growth sealed it for me, Bayek is my favourite.
Can’t wait for that 60fps patch
Walking under the desert sun and seeing random hallucinations was such a cool feature.

That feeling the first time you climb a hill and see the pyramids looming in the distance. One of the most awe inspiring moments in gaming. Also, playing through the story and suddenly realizing how ancient they truly are. That even two thousand years ago they were still incredibly ancient. I have my qualms with the game, but those moments alone made it well worth the time.
My grandfather was an Egyptophile and I never understood until I played Origins. I wish he was still alive so that we could talk about it.
The AC games may have strayed into a type of gameplay that is hit or miss to people. But the worlds they make are still top tier
Has anyone tried the mode where you just walk around and learn about Egypt, its nuts
WTF, tonight is the first time I play this game in like two years and when I opened Reddit this is the first post I saw. Guess that ancient Egypt feeling is in the air tonight lol. This game is beautiful and tbh Bayek of Siwa is daddy goals. 😩😭✊️
Origins and Odyssey are two of the most beautiful games I’ve ever played. The visuals, the sound design, and tge overall gameplay were exceptional
I wish for a Origins vibe game but set in old China
