The Wonderful 101: Remastered is what you are looking for.
I know, because I too am following Platinum.
Just trust a stranger on this one – The Wonderful 101 blows Revengeance out of the water all while directly unsubtly referencing it a couple of times.
You just said that you haven’t seen a game that tops the Excelsus fight in Rising. Every single boss fight in TW101 is at the very least as awesome as this, most of them – even better. I stand by these words.

so far Final Fantasy 16 is getting close, I have yet to finish but I have no doubt there will be a moment in there, the first 2 hours alone has one a really big contender.
The soundtrack rocks 🤘🏻
Only game I can think of to rival the intensity is Asura’s Wrath
