If you’re thinking of getting a place there don’t bother. There’s really nothing available.
The movie that kicked off the “hands in tall grass” shot in Hollywood
Amazing how the trees haven’t grown taller.
How many fines did they give you for driving into a town?
father to a murdered son
You knew Marcus Aurelius?
What lens do you think they used on the movie shot to cause the background to seem so close?
Cue Lisa Gerrard
My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius. You killed my father. Prepare to die.
This was such a beautiful scene
Did you unleash hell?
My favorite movie! Amazing !
I just want to know who the fuck is driving through the countryside and is like wait I have photographic memory for 22 year old movies.
*If you find yourself alone, riding in the green fields with the sun on your face, do not be troubled. For you are in Elysium, and you’re already dead!*
I hope you kept an eye out for Tuscan Raiders.
I had wedding pics taken here! It’s amazing.
Looks like one of the trees on the left died. No one made a movie for that tree.
Yes, I’m sure you were like “Pull over! I KNOW this place!”
Pienza! I’ve stayed in that town multiple times, it is a lovely place.
My favorite movie of all time. I am actually a little jealous
Strength and Honor
The last movie to win Best Picture that hands down deserved it.
I’m embarassed that my very first thought was “no way it still looks the same as it did in Roman times.”
Quintus, free my men. Senator Graccus is to be reinstated. There was a dream that was Rome, shall be realized. These are the wishes of Marcus Aurelius.
Interestingly enough, there’s a [whole video](https://youtu.be/5ds054OF7hY) explaining everything that’s wrong with this particular shot from historical perspective.
Interesting fact, the dwarf gene in wheat hadn’t been bred into the variety yet so Maximus would have actually had wheat up to his shoulders walking through that field.
Go to them.
You’ve found Elysium. You’re a fool to leave.
Now you are free. Now we are both free. I will see you again. But not yet. Not yet..
If anyone is interested, you don’t need to “find it” by accident or anything: [link](https://www.sceen-it.com/sceen/325/Gladiator/Field)
