I remember we found my brothers PSP and booted it up back when we were in HS in the early 2000s and found a shit ton of pics of my friends sister. It got awkward.
Looks like a 3000 model. They are super easy to hack and are a great way to play emulators up to n64 (not the best framerate) and ps1 (native support, runs perfectly) and also play copies of all psp games for free!
I had problems with the connection to the screen quite early on, so I sold it to somebody that could fix it. A little annoying now, but I barely have time for my PS5 or Switch anyway.
Old psp? That thing came out like 10 years ago. I have an original Gameboy that still works. In fact most electronics will still work years later if they weren’t made with planned obsolescence in mind….
My partner works but grinds really loudly like louder that the disk should grind found out it’s the miter that controlled the laser position that makes that grinding noise
They were cool little devices. I used to travel a lot and had mine loaded with games, music and movies. Hundreds of hours of entertainment…
I have 3 different models. They all still work, and I love them.
Shouldn’t it still work?
I still have the Dodgeball and Napolean Dynamite UMD movies!
I remember rocking my silver PSP back in high school in ’06. Aww, the memories when I got that Daxter bundle in Circuit City.
The battery on mine decided life was no longer worth living for. Found it expanded like a pillow ready to blow
Check for any battery swelling.
The fact that you didn’t lose the charging cord is the most surprising part of this.

Lucky. When i found mine, the battery was borderline nuclear.

I use my Every day
You could get into softmodding the PSP.
Chains of Olympus and ghost of Sparta were such good games! They really captured the spirit of the console games on that thing
Gave mine to kid, works perfectly
im not crying, just nostalgia got into my eyes

“digital comics”
Where was it hiding?
I found mine and it came with its own acid balloon
The fact that companies will neve bring back the concept of medium performance compact consoles depresses me 🙁
The Switch is quite chonky, let’s not even talk about a steam deck
Yesterday I took out my old 2DS, surprisingly the battery was full
God i loved mine.. brings back memories. I also had a vita. Sad they didn’t do more with them, it was a cool concept.
Who said pspsps
My partner works but grinds really loudly like louder that the disk should grind found out it’s the miter that controlled the laser position that makes that grinding noise
mine broke
something wrong with the battery and the charging
I sold mine for £10 so I could buy weed as a teenager.. good times
Install cfw, open the world of emulators and uh totally legal back ups of games you totally own
Does anyone know where to actually buy one? I remember alot of us kids having one 10-12 years ago but now it’s expensive af even for a pre owned.
Such a good system. I wish sony had given the vita the same support
Mine is literally held together by duct tape and sounds like it’s going to explode
I just wanted to point out that this is the psp 2001, not 1000. This was a special starwars edition that came with a star wars battlefront game.
Ahhhh shit is that the Darth Vader one?
Your less than 20yo console still works? Who would’ve seen that one coming….
Why is it surprising? When you turned it off last did it work? Do psp’s expire?
