Here’s my philosophy regarding road rage: it’s not my place to teach someone a lesson if they’re riding my ass. I will pull off to the side and let them pass. I’d rather let them go ride the next person’s ass, than sit there and get stressed out about an aggressive driver.
Try it, it’s a delightful feeling knowing you diffused that ‘script’ and didn’t let petty anger take over.
The other person is often confused and they will shake their fist as they pass, clinging to the script that we should be mad at each other. I smile and wave and enjoy the puzzled look.

I would guess they backed into something cuz they didn’t check their mirrors and can’t see out the back window. Also it’s a Van, the worst drivers are Van people.

People seem to forget that their actions effect more than just the person behind them. In some cases, you’re effecting miles of traffic and creating a hazard for people all around you. Not just the guy behind you. Spiteful driving is one of the biggest hazards on the road today.
So wait, if they base their speed on how close we are, then once they get slower than me, our distance will decrease, which will cause them to get *even slower*, which will cause them to get closer…and slower…

I saw one the other day with a crunched-in back like that, bearing a sticker that said “Trust me, you don’t want to get that close.”
The owner might as well just leave it like that to reinforce the message.

I don’t know what kind of action hero fantasy world some people in this thread live on, but regardless how much a douche this driver is when slowing down if you’re tailgating, that’s not an excuse to ram his ass. Just suck it up like an adult and overtake the car the next safe opportunity if it bothers you this much.
