It doesn’t help. This is in reference that back in the old west, before animal vets became a common thing, the usual method for dealing with a horse with a broken leg was to shoot it and go buy another one because they didn’t have the medical know how to set and mend the fragile leg bones of a horse. This meant a horse with a broken leg was forever crippled and it was too expensive to keep a horse that you couldn’t use.
When your hose breaks it’s leg they say your supposed to shoot him. I guess it’s supposed to help in the healing process, now he’s got a broken leg and a gunshot wound
I’d say it’s the American Health system, but I’m pretty sure the insurance wouldn’t even cover the bolt gun without a copay.

I’m surprised they didn’t need a Prior Authorization, needs to try a few other ways first

I see the horse and the VA have the same policy.
Actuallly, death instead of costly treatment seems like the one thing my insurance company would gladly pay for.
I read this with the voice of Ricky Gervais
False: in the US this would not be covered by insurance as having legs is a pre-existing condition.
No Country for Old Horses.
Health Canada
Second of all, “Will that apply to my deductible? If so I need to squeeze it in before it resets at the first of the year.”
American for-profit healthcare is horrifying, in the UK the NHS will shoot you in the head with a bolt gun for free!
