I don’t know what Dallas is going for here but I don’t feel like this is the brag the city should hang it’s hat on 😬

Knowing Texas and the way they are its probably a feather in their cap
Are they going to have loads of small signs on Dealey Plaza, JFK was here, and here, and here……
I mean…It kinda is?
Tourists will be on this all day.
LHO was there
-President’s bullet-ridden body in the street
Ride, Johnny ride
Kennedy’s shattered head hits concrete
Ride, Johnny ride
Johnny’s wife is floundering
Johnny’s wife is scared
Run, Jackie run
Texas is an outrage when your husband is dead
Texas is an outrage when they pick up his head
Texas is the reason that the president’s dead
You gotta suck, suck, Jackie suck-
The whole city prides itself that JFK was shot in the fucking face there
also: “Texas welcomes the DNC”
Dallas is a Q hub
I’ve visited the Sixth Floor museum. Fascinating place.
Less of brag, more of a warning.
They are still proud of themselves.
“JFK was here. And here. And here. And a bit of him was also over there.”
I agree I found that whole JFK museum weird. It’s like they’re proud he was murdered right there in the city center
And here and here and there…
Well, he was assasinated in 1963. Perhaps they thought that two years was enough gap? SMH
Edit: Nevermind. The sign does say 63. I thought it said 61. At least their stupid hurts more than mine.
he came. he saw
They weren’t sure about this marketing campaign, but decided they needed to take their shot.
Jesus Christ…
Well they can’t brag about the Cowboys.
And then he wasn’t
These are essentially an advertisement for the 6th floor museum: https://www.jfk.org/at-the-museum/jfk_banners/
JFK needs to be reminded of that day like he needs another hole in the head.
Learned my work has a cup that JFK drank from when he visited. They keep it behind glass now.
they are missing a key word, I think.
And then he wasn’t…
The X marking the exact spot on the road where he got blasted has always been rather surreal.
It doesn’t seem like enough of a monument, but they weren’t going to just shut down the road of course.
I’m pretty sure that’s also a picture taken of him moments before they killed him.
60 year anniversary and there’s a new film about it. I’m from DFW and so is my dad, we were talking last week about how weird it is that we go to random little museums in little towns on road trips all the time but have never checked this out.
It’s the 60 year anniversary of the assassination this month
“Save your trip to Dallas for last, like JFK.”
Dealey Plaza and the book depository is by far the biggest tourist attraction in the entire city. I’m not even sure what comes second
“The City So Pleasant It’s Where JFK Lived The Rest Of His Life”
Texans are morons
Hey look, Dallas had one shot to kill this marketing plan, and unfortunately, they were scatterbrained when it came to finding solutions.
With our education system, this is a great way to at least get kids to ask who the F is Kennedy
Nevemind, I forgot they can’t read 😩
Have you ever met anyone from Dallas? Among other famous Dallas stuff the JFK assassination is basically part of their personality. It’s like someone who does CrossFit, they’ll make sure to bring it up at some point.
