I always wanted to be a private investigator like Simon and Simon, or Knight Rider but since that never happened, on the weekends I go to estate sales and try and figure out how the people died.

Sounds like fun.
Paula Deen cookbook right next to Heart Disease for Dummies.
This all adds up.
That’s a pretty interesting hobby! Do you ever find out if you guessed right?
Paula Deen, in the kitchen, with butter
Ha, even better is making up completely ridiculous things based on what you find: “I think Hanna died from the stress of searching endlessly for her copy of Beauty and the Beast, kept inexplicably with her collection of cookbooks.”
Everyone dies from lack of oxygen to the brain. So you don’t have to look any further.
This was also my backstory and I’ve never thought to do this!
“This must’ve been caused by trying to remove carbs, but clearly the pull of Paula Dean and her Butter Batter was too hard on old Margaret…”
Simon and Simon? You’re old.
You left out Magnum P.I., Remington Steele, The A Team, and Quincy M.E.
Say you’re over 50 without saying you’re over 50
I mean if you guess heart disease or cancer you’d be right like 90 percent of the time.
NGL I would watch this Hulu series. Start thinking of who you would want to star as you.
It was the Christmas Beauty & the Beast that got them
I like the attempt to hide owning two of the same cookbooks by turning one upside down.
But yeah if they actually used them the Paula Deen book and the Southern Living books give it away even without the Heart Disease for Dummies. Southern food is generally terrible for your health.
Gun shot
Same, but McMillan & Wife.

This is kind of concerning, are you ok OP?
You can see the decline. The first to go is the hobbies in the garage and basement. Then they start leaving things in rooms that are seldom touched. Then they get confined to the bed in one room and all the medical stuff is in there around the bed. I have seen estates where they ended up with medical supplies piled around the bed and they have a bible. Sometimes there will be stuffed animal gifts.
At one estate sale, the family really must have been trying for a last ditch effort to get this guy into heaven because there were a dozen brand new bibles sent from various family members. I bought them all and sold them for a very good profit. I started buying up the bibles that had value and then the estate sale companies figured that I must be a preacher or missionary and they started to give me bibles.
Besides the medical reference books you see holistic healing for what they have and then you see that they buy bibles.
Best one though was the sale where there were hundreds of cookbooks and one thin book on salvation. I guessed that she covered saving her soul and got that out of the way in 20 pages and then cooked good food.
Geez I hope my wife doesn’t see this.
‘‘Twas beauty killed the beast.”
That sounds like a fun way to spend a morning.
