This is one of those videos that make you go “Well, no shit. I feel stupid for not figuring that out on my own.”
Nice presentation until it got to the part about trump.
This is really creepy!
Well they are different than the Hubble. There’s no need for such a powerful mirror, but yeah, it wouldn’t surprise me if they installed many of these.
Only 19.
Actually the Hubble technology is partially based on previously made optical spy satellites.
The thing is that probably the opposite is more true, that Hubble is partially clone of previous spy satellites.
Just bigger and looking the other direction.
The idea that we wouldn’t build more than one always seemed dumb to me. It makes far more sense that the tech would be used for spying.
I use this type of imagery at work, and the best commercial resolution available is around 2 inches per pixel, but that is captured from an airplane only a couple miles off the ground. The spy satellite photo from the tweet looks like it has a sub-inch resolution, I’d guess around 1/2 inch per pixel. AND IT WAS CAPTURED FROM OUTER SPACE… hundreds of miles above the earth’s surface and through the entire atmosphere.
Its too bad that can’t just deploy these cutting edge spy satellites to the planets and moons of our solar system. Imagine all the insane discoveries that could be make with such technology.
and they still didn´t make photos of Saddams weapons of mass destruction ;o)
(because it was a lie and war crime.)
If there ever was a person whose speech cadence *required* 1.25x playback speed, it’s the dude who made this video. Jesus christ…
A few years ago CIA offered NASA 2 “copies” of hubble they had kept under vacuum for 20-30 years, I think NASA had no idea what to do with them.
If we know about them, you can’t even begin to imagine what we don’t know about.
Makes so much sense, is all space exploration just hidden surveillance?
Last 20 seconds were the best! Thanks!
