Not sure how you can figure that. I was in taiwan 3 years ago and still saw gas scooters pretty often. The mainland has almost no gas powered scooters. Its 99% EV scooters.
I’m surprised public scooters and rivers have found a way to co-exist in Taiwan seeing as in the US the biggest threat to public scooters is the nearest body of water.
