IMO this game is underrated. It’s so fun to run around as an edgy Sith Lord just fucking shit up. It’s so great also that you get to make your own decisions and that it actually impacts the story
Is there a lot of content? I played at launch for a good few months. But fell off of it as I finished the main story line and there wasn’t much end game content.
They really just need to overhaul combat in this game. Story was fine, art was passable, its showing its age now. But the combat just felt so stiff & monotone. Nothing felt good, nothing hit the star wars fantasy, nothing flowed well, was outdated back in 2011 and feels so much so in 2022.
I was a super nerd back at the start of this game.
I was on an RP server and played a Sith Inquisitor based on my old D&D char. Was the mouthpiece for the Empire for a bit. Was really dark and played a vicious wizard very well. Wrote up communications to the community, built a rep.
Ended up finding a sick bug that enabled me to enter a Jedi cantina. Wear a dark hood. Sit in the corner, and stare down Jedi. Would negotiate terms of surrender with Jedi, with the undercurrent of plotting against them despite pretending to be for peace.
Was dope. Though man…I spent way too much doing it.
Imagine if they kept upgrading their graphics like World of Warcraft has done over the years. That probably would have made SWTOR much more popular today.
Every expansion/update the new NPC models look better and better while the player character looks like fucking Gumby and show no signs of changing. Just upgrade the PC model visuals AT LEAST.
Bad enough that the only decent looking armor models get sold to the community exclusively on the cash shop while in-game armor is recycled or looks like crap.
I was thinking about giving it a try again, I played it back in … cant even remember but It felt like a WoW skin , but the real question has it improved on some significant way?
How does gameplay look like tho
Looks playable to me
Same as it did 10 years ago then
What a coincidence, didn’t thought about this game for a while, and I just decided to re-download it today. Then now I see this
South West Therapist Of Redemption look great!!
Look pretty good and also a lot of ui got updated too! I really like the new map ui, personally
How is the state of the new expansion? I remember when it came it out it was only 2 hours long, did they add much content?
How is the story though? The last updates were so small and uninteresting that I lost a lot of faith in it going forward.
Need this game on PS5. I know MMOs are best played on PC but I really love my Final Fantasy XIV on PS5.
Just like in 2012.

But most NPCs and player models don’t look like that, so it’s kinda irrelevant
Its for PC only, right?

Am I just supposed to know what SWTOR is right out of the womb? Am i supposed to learn that is in school?
10x better than WoW.
So, it’s been what, 11 years…they ever add any new space missions for your ship?
It’s too good now for my laptop so no thank you

Hmm, just like 10 years ago
Is this good? Bad? It’s not impressive
Ah, the game that no one wanted. It only did well because the first 2 games were so good. Would have been much better off with kotor 3.
Remember Star Wars Galaxies? I member.
Hey look it’s mass effect
OH! I thought you said KOTOR and I was like damnnnn that’s good looking. But yeah. That’s just SWTOR. It always looked good!

I never really had reason to think about it, but I guess The Old Republic has now been running longer than Star Wars Galaxies did?
Galaxies was the only MMO I have ever tried to play; it was not my thing.
Not surprised. That bandaged version of a beta Hero Engine release has not aged well at all.
So far it looks pretty good.
Loved that game for its first 7 years.
Better than most switch games. I see no issue.
It doesnt matter how it look if it plays like shit
Yeah, this feels disingenuous.

Looks better than the new pokémon generation
Stories are actually really good.
Don’t play jedi’s their stories suck.
Evil commando makes me feel like homelander
All sith stories are good.
One of the best story focused MMO’s I’ve ever played; gameplay left a lot to be desired though IMO
So… it looks just like it did back in 2012?
Same it’s looked every year?
