I’m not going to spend 30 minutes watching a video about traditional churros. This should be 3 minutes at most for casual viewers. All of you churro aficionados must be stoked though.
There was this guy at the beach in Pichidangui, Chile that had a stall where he fried his own dough fresh per order as well.
Pretty sure I about came when I ate it. Probably healthier and without the segregation of sexes to boot.
I feel like there’s too much food made out there labelled a delicacy because it’s traditional. I’m sure it’s delicious, but the 35min video circle-jerking their traditional values is lame af.
Hey a fun conincidence. I’m in Spain for the first time today, and had this for breakfast dipped in chocolate. They were great, and the dude making em had several gnarly looking scars that I assumed were from oil burns. The churros were like elephant ears/funnel cake, but I think less greasy? No powdered sugar/cinnamon. And the chocolate dipping sauce had very little sugar in it compared to what I was expecting. Definitely good stuff, will have more tomorrow!
wow
My ex gf is Spanish. I like to send her pics of “churro flavored” things I see at the store or [stuff like this](https://www.cinnamontoastcrunch.com/products/cinnamon-toast-crunch-churros) and her meltdown is hilarious.
The only churros I’ve had are ones at Costco/Taco Bell.
I can’t even imagine how these would taste.
Hermoso… dios quiera que nunca se pierdan estas tradiciones
Ahh, the Spanish Wilford Brimley!
“The second this old man dies we’re getting with the times and buying an electric fryer.” – probably said by that guy chopping wood all morning.
That lisp is like nails to a chalkboard.
Edit: I’ve been invaded by the Spanish. Oh no couldn’t have seen that coming!
I just don’t see how it could be worth it to use wood fired stoves in an enclosed kitchen. Every damn inch of that thing is covered in soot.

Does anyone have a companion video on how big ol’ women in San Antonio are made?
