And it was 2019. Not 2020.
<Hans Zimmer’s ‘Gladitor’ soundtrack intensifies>
In the Odenwald werden dir die Hoden kalt
It is White Orchard.Thre’s a place of power nearby,
*walking
I always thought the Autobahn would be a little wider.
Nice!!
Have you seen Maximus over there?
Alter schwede! Also das bild ist eines der besten das ich bis jetzt gesehen habe.
Looks like attack on titan
So did you sneak your phone into heaven?
This is it. If I take one more step, I’ll be the farthest away from home I’ve ever been.
I thought this was a video game for a second
or: how to kill a picture with extreme unbalanced editing
Amazing
What a beautiful view
That’s just BF1
It’s pronounced Odenwald. The ‘H’ is silent.
Lies. This is minecraft with shaders. Isn’t it????
Nice! Peace, warmth, and harmony are the words that first come to mind. Beautifully captured image.
But it makes me wonder, can I get a sneak peek of how the day would have looked with a plain eye? What grabbed your eye and how did you decide to make it like this? I am fascinated by what editing can do, being able to change the mood of the whole scenery.
Can confirm this is what it looks like twenty minutes by bike from my house. Yay.
looks like RTX on
Strait out the shire
Odenwald? More like Auenwald.
That is enough Witcher 3 initial feelings that I’m gonna mosy on down there sometime this summer.
I love every aspect of that picture, and I can’t wait to have another holiday in Germany. It’s been far too long. Ten years, already, when I think of it.
Auf wiedersehen, ich komme gleich zurück, and I promise to not practise my German while I’m at it.
Wow, I wish I was there instead of sitting in front of a computer in a windowless room daydreaming about video games while I pore over engineering reports.
The US could have had trails similar in beauty but chose automobile-based infrastructure and got Clover leaf interstate exchanges and Burger King. Not saying cars are “bad” but that it has always baffled me why European countries are so much older but have so much less urban sprawl and wasted land use. The answer of course is that they decided to have some policies focused on people instead of 100% maximum commerce. Not a big deal/kind of a big deal.
Sehr gut getroffen,
Wo genau war das? Müsste fast hier um die Ecke sein…
So the 300 spartans went off to face the Achaemenids at Thermopylae
Brb going to play KC:D 😍
If I take one more step it’ll be the farthest from home I’ve ever been
I live in Wisconsin, and seeing photos like this I understand why so many German immigrants to America settled in my state – very similar landscapes and vegetation. Beautiful!
Beautiful! I love riding (road and gravel bike) in the Odenwald area, tons of great, quiet roads with rolling hills. I’m a bit further north since I’m in the Miltenberg/Wertheim corner, but that makes me very fortunate, Spessart to the north, Odenwald to the West.
More of OP’s work can be found at @HatCat_Photography on IG and HatCatPhotography on 500px.
thought this was /r/shittyHDR
You’re about to run into 300 Spartans and their king.
This is one of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen.
What does the picture look like without all the editing?
I can’t figure out where this is. I’ve thought Mossauer Höhe but I don’t think I’m right. Maybe in Beerfelden?
Der odenwald ist zi mi likey.
Wind’s howling.
Ah yes, hiking through a heavily filtered world, who doesn’t like it. Oversaturated colours much. Looks a bit like the field from Gladiator.
Since the author values feedback: The picture is really great, it just doesn’t really depict reality imho. It could look similar under very specific circumstances. You know, when the light is just right, the time of day is perfect, etc. And there’s nothing wrong with that, but what “annoys” me is that people just think “this is how it always looks, so beautiful” and that’s just not true. These magical photos are just not representative of reality. It’s art. It’s not reality. That’s fine. But I think it should be labelled as art and not a photo.
This picture makes me extremely happy for some reason and I was sad panda before
I vant to goh to der
*sigh* I was stationed at Ramstein AB for three years and I got to see plenty of places like this on trips with friends. I would go back in a heartbeat.
I want to see this trail when I die. Like Gladiator
Are you sure that’s hiking? That looks like dreaming!
After being stuck for two years now, I am *never* going to take traveling for granted again!
