Here’s why triple-A games feel so much worse these days

  • Holy crap, how long does it take for this guy to get to his point?! “I’ve talked about this before, I need to talk about this, this has been stewing in my brain.”

I stuck through it a bit longer, and it’s basically a rant about Diablo 4. And yeah, a lot of people hated it, but meanwhile recently there have been a ton of games that eclipsed D4. Baldur’s Gate 3, Armored Core 6, Starfield, and Lies of P have all been pretty good games, and I can’t wait for the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 expansion. Diablo 4 does not accurately represent the state of the industry, there’s actually been a lot of good stuff to play recently.

Edit: Shit, guy’s just trolling with clickbait.

  • I may have been able to get through a little more rambling if he’d turn his goddamn game sound down a bit. If you want to have a “talk” about a topic, you might want to make certain people can hear you.

Also breathes into his mic too much. 0/10

  • I know serveral reasons w/o even watching the video.

    1. Soulless greedy company managers minmaxing profits, reducing the creativity of the devs to a minimum so they hit deadlines
    2. Content get’s cut out and sold seperatly as DLC, reducing the enjoyment of base-games by alot
    3. Agressive monetization, where even SP-Games sometimes offer a “Buy 2 progress”-System so player can avoid the boring and soulless grind to pad out gameplay time.

I just found my future in indie-games.
Games like Rimworld, Space Engineers and Terraria gave me so much fun and tbf, feel like they got alot of love from their devs.
