I think one of the best parts of this movie is the other cop who has the worst yak nose of anyone I’ve ever seen. Just bright red and running in every seen.
My parents showed me this film because they wanted to point him out, and then explained to me that he tricked his sister into loaning him 5,000 dollars (in ’80s money) and skipped town.
Never thought I’d see his face turn up here. Small world, lmao.
I mean, it’s not really wrong. Katana literally just means sword, and in the modern day, we use it to specifically reference Japanese curved single edged swords. Though a Japanese person might use the word to reference any type of sword.
My favourite thing about this wonderful train wreck of a film is that there are many scenes that they reshot, and you can tell which ones they are because either the time of day changes randomly (sometimes multiple times) from, say, midday to dusk. And also the main character is now wearing a really bad wig, because the actor had cut his hair for another film.
Shame, 16 seconds, and you don’t get to appreciate the quality of this movie, here are 8+ minutes of highlights (please ignore the fight scene where the wig comes off)
Man this is such a stupid movie. The Rifftrax is one of my favs.
“What does Toyota mean”
“It means Japanese car”
🤦♂️
Mean while in Japan,
“What does sword mean?”
“It means English Katana.”

“Hey wait a minute!”
He speaks fluent Japanese:
Samurai Cop: fudge…. fujiyama
OH MY FUCKING GAWD, THIS GUY IS MY GREAT UNCLE

Best worst movie to watch. Especially when he wears a wig for half the movie reshoots. Hilariously horrible.
Tbf, he’s as fluent in Japanese as he is in English
Oh Joy Begin.
This new cyberpunk 2077 DLC looks great
I love this movie so much

Didn’t they have to reshoot some scenes like a year after production finished and the guy had short hair by then? So some scenes he’s wearing a wig?
Why does he look like Steve Carell and Sylvester Stalone had a baby?
He’s fluent in being high.
What does sushi mean?
That movie is freakin’ hilarious. It’s so bad that it’s good.
Watch the rifftrax version – free on Tubi I think.. you won’t be disappointed.
