If any game needs a remake, it’s this GOAT.
Fun fact I learned recently: this game is made off the same engine they used for golfing games.

Does the combat hold up at all to modern standards? I haven’t played this in 15+ years, but I remember it being decently involved and had at least one gauge that gave you more options.
The whole series of games is pretty cool. FotR was a bit messy, but not terrible. TT was INSANELY FUN!! just picked RotK up and its been a ton of fun too. Surprisingly enough it’s kept it’s value and even gained some. Got the first two for like $40 together, and this one for $75

I remember spending hundreds of hours just replaying that open field battle mission where you can kill tons of orcs, just changing characters every time and killing as many enemies as possible
What a fucking game like that. They just don’t make movie tie ins like that no more. Hated the kick down the ladder mission though 😂

Of all the games people say needs a remake, this one needs it the most. Those old Zelda games do not need a remake. It’s the same world with different plots.
A remake of this could be a massive hit, especially with the revival the world has gotten with the Rings ifPower series. (not saying it’s good, just that it got a lot of attention) I would love it if Fromsoftware would be the ones who remade it. They have an awesome track record and I have no doubt they would knock this out of the ballpark.
