I know that as a woman, my opinion on this issue is irrelevant, but … I will never understand the insecurity related to male baldness. Baldness is normal. It can be sexy. It’s not inherently worse than having hair (to look at, or in relation to personality… There are probably some temperature related side effects, but that can be cured with a hat). It’s weird to me that there’s such a cultural hangup about it.
I need someone to explain this comic strip to me. Especially why he wouldn’t want to know the answer to that? And what the answer is? And how any of this is meant to be funny?
It was after this day that he started wearing sunglasses, became a pest control expert, started believing in conspiracy theories, moved to Texas, made friends with a propane and propane accessories salesman, a sad balding man, a slick talker, took the name of his (he assumes) dead friend Rusty Shackleford, and started smoking.
I’m bald. I met a girl while I was wearing a hat. I asked her out and she agreed. I arrived at her place, no hat, cleanly shaved. First thing she said was “oh you’re bald…” ultimately we didn’t work out.
This reminds me of when George Costanza met a woman while wearing boots, and then had to always wear them when with her because of the extra inch or two in height they provided. But without the humor. The humor should be centered around the line between pettiness and self consciousness and how neither are worth worrying about, but instead this just seemingly validates both.
The amazing thing that this comic implies she never once stole his hat.
He wore that hat in the shower and during sex? That’s commitment to insecurity.
Cue Curb Your Enthusiasm theme
I want the answer to that question. Why would he not want it?
She’s angry that you took off your hat, you fool! Right when she was about to profess her love to it.

no really, what is the punchline?

I’m actually not sure what the punchline is.
Hat prison is legitimately the only remotely funny part of this comic… the rest is just pretty sad and cynical.

This is possibly the least funny comic that has ever been posted on the Internet.
Tim Pool, lol
Too much text preparing for a punchline that didn’t deliver.
Thats not a well written joke
As a bald guy I’m a little offended
Where funny?
It is not even remotely possible to hide baldness when you are together. Also, people expect you to be bald if you keep a hat on all the time.
Did AI write this?
I think you meant to post this to facebook
Where’s the joke?
Is this here in a sub called “funny” unironically?
Nonexistent punchline
