i showed this pic to my computer and it was like, go find one of them raytracing computers if that’s what you want, then! it then guilt tripped me for wanting that.
This game look incredible even on console ! I’m loving it
I really like Microsoft Flight. I know not to the caliber of Flight sim but that’s what was the nice thing about it.

Unbelievable graphic fidelity. Until you notice the tires and the grey/gray outline around them. Like this shit looks legit. Games have come so far and I’m almost 40. I can only imagine the stark difference for my GenX elders who played in arcades as the only way to play video games.
Since when does MSFS have pilots inside the planes?
This definitely made me believe it was a legit real life picture until I saw the tires.

Literally the only thing in this picture that gives it away that it’s a game is the wheels, everything else looks insanely realistic.
It does look great, but it’s wayyyy too perfectly shiny. Even the first day off the assembly line everything wouldn’t be this shiny. You’d get some imperfections on there or smudges or something – ESPECIALLY if it has been flying around in the sky.
BRING BACK MICROSOFT COMBAT FLIGHT SIMULATOR.

Absolutely insane. I’m 31 and can’t wait to see how games are when I’m 70 and can just tap into nerve gear and waste away in Sword Art Online as a young paladin.

While playing recently, I flew over my family’s property in a rural area of Northern California. Amazing how many of the tiny details were crystal clear!

It’s not really about the rendering so much as literally everything else they did to make it span globally and take weather into account in roughly real-time. It’s really impressive far beyond just rendering tech

finally, Microsoft did something right.
My Grampa built mechanical flight sims after the war and was an avid MSFS 2000 enthusiast. This would have blown his mind.

If not for the person in the cockpit, I wouldn’t have believed this is from a game.
Looks great, though I think its still way too reflective.
It looks super high resolution which is amazing.
Though I will say too many games just make everything shiny and call it good graphics and super realistic.
The plane is too shiny. For some reason when we want to do ultra realism we do super shiny things, like all those GTA5 mods.
Scary. Soon we won’t know the difference and it will be like playing a movie or tv series.
