With a smile still on your face, like you’re going somewhere faraway
Was it Heaven’s caprice, or was it that we’re so small
Hearing those cries of pain, it feels heart-rending
Lighting up a candle for you, and letting it burn in the wind
Every flicker of flame, is my prayer
Do you hear, the voice of my singing
How many blossoms fell, in your acre of paradise?
Now I will let out my voice and sing
Of all the joy, sorrow and vicissitudes of life
Those that once thought were destroyed
Still persist with great strengths left
There’s our, your, and their households still standing strong
with overflowing warmth everywhere
Those that your love still linger on
We shall lift up your hope towards
Towards
What’s the greatest weight a life can carry?
While on your last journey, I wonder again
Laying down our sorrows, igniting the torch of life
Braving our way forward, against the blustering wind and torrential rain
Only for the soaring kites and dreams in the sky
And the innocent faces of children
We shall face the great challenges of life together
Open up your heart, and watch the great ocean tides rise and fall
Now I will let out my voice and sing
Of all the joy, sorrow and vicissitudes of life
Those that once thought were destroyed
Still persist with great strengths left
There’s our, your, and their households still standing strong
with overflowing warmth everywhere
Those that your love still lingers on
THE SONG OF LIFE, WILL ALWAYS AND FOREVER RING
Now I will let out my voice and sing
Of those incredible, unyielding strengths
Those that you once has dreamed
We shall continue to create
A new sun has burst from the ruins of the past
The light shall drive away the darkness
In this beloved land of ours
The song of life will always and forever ring
Forever ring
Forever ring
Forever ring

What a beautifully written song——it was published in the wake of the 2012 earthquake in China, which caused great destruction and suffering. Now, with the recent earthquakes happening in Turkey, I dedicate this song to the Turkish people that are also suffering from what many of us had faced years ago.
On a sidenote, I think this song can fit perfectly as the main theme song of The Miracle Season (for those who haven’t seen it, it’s a movie about a real-life story of a highschool volleyball team that lost their star player in an accident but later managed to recover—mentally and athletically—from the loss and win the championship)

The Song of Life
At the most unexpected moment, you fell
