This franchise doesn’t need this. It’s already hard enough to make an animated Gundam series that captures the imagination and follows a great storyline. But a full CGI? How are they planning to add action scenes? The top notch gundam..no..the average gundam move in a fluid yet precise fashion that looks awkward in animation at times. How’s that gona olay out in CGI
This feels like something slapped together (apparently it’s from a guy who did Warhammer 40K fan animations?) because production on the Gundam movie went south but no one wants to come out and say they fired Brian K. Vaughan after the one-two punch of Paper Girls, and Y The Last Man coupled with his own script ideas which were allegedly horrible.
I’ll say this much. Portraying the Gundam (which looks like a Ground Type from 08th MS Team) as a horror movie villain that can’t be beaten because of space magic and super advanced technology is actually kind of an interesting idea. I have no idea how they’re going to execute it, but the idea is quite interesting.
More Gundam, you say!? Cool. I have loved the franchise my whole life and the last AU entry (The Witch from Mercury) was refreshing. Nice to see more Universal Century content!
Alright let’s address the trailer. Zeeks doing Zeek stuff and the Gundam shows up and gives them a big ole pants shitting scare. Doesn’t need to be complicated but looks fine. OYW from the Zeon point of view maybe?
Would be nice to see some easter eggs or some cameos, but not holding my breath on this one. I just want to see some action and hopefully some drama with good voice acting.
I can tell the animation is going to be mid to upper mid 3D animation. No complaints. I grew up on 80s anime. Seeing 3D animation come up to where it is gives you perspective.
what a trash trailer, super low quality. The lack of audio design or sound editing reminds me of that Mission Impossible unfinished trailer they released… but this look to be the actual trailer
SO this looks bad but actually I have to ask since I always think this..
So oddly.. I like Gundam, I have multiple Gundam toys from when I was a kid, I love buying the model kits to put together. The hang up is.. I’ve only ever seen G Gundam. So my question is.. Which Gundam show is best?
Revolutionary war? Started by the side that gassed a colony killing all their occupants so they could kill million of people by sending it towards Earth?
I think I’ll pass on this zeon fan wank. Especially if Netflix is directly involved with is production in any form.
looks like shit
What is this, the sequel to Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within?
Looks boring and uninspiring.

I’m excited for this
The music, font and dialogue all feel so *off*. This hopefully wont be bad but very low expectations currently.
Funny that the comments in this thread so far are all doom and gloom, yet /r/Gundam is [a lot more positive](https://www.reddit.com/r/Gundam/comments/189whvt/gundam_requiem_for_vengeance_official_teaser/) about this.
/r/television consistently has some of the weirdest opinions when it comes to anime and/or CG.
That trailer did not excite me, terrible audio
I thought this was supposed to be live action.
Meh. Looks like a bad video game trailer
Is this tied to any of the other Gundum shows? Or is this all brand new?
If nobody in this has a bullshit stupid name like Four Vaginas, this show will be a failure.
God, if I had a battletech show like this..
I had no idea this was happening and wow is this trailer disappointing. Just looks like a garbage cut scene from a game that came out 15 years ago.
Animation weirding me out
Looks pretty bad honestly.
Will we ever get another good 50 episode gundam series?

It’s a Gundam!
Ah yes, another one of my favorite franchises for Netflix to ruin.
You people are so miserable.
Netflix please stop
“What the hell is that.” That’s my reaction to this trailer.
Someone get me a towel…
Oh, hell yes
This looks great

Jesus, what studio made this trailer? It’s awful. Looks like a bad fan trailer.

“What the hell is that?..” should have been followed by a guy yelling “ITS A GUNDAM!”
… hmm… looks like a decade old video game…
