They breed like crazy, at 3 months are sexually mature, can have a litter of 6 every 2 months. Can literally get pregnant again the same day they give birth.
2 Guinea pigs can have 36 babies a year. At the end of that year 24 can have babies of their own.
More protein than any other supermarket meat. Also they are dumb as rocks, kind of a great food source.
