Holy shit
Seems fun.
The YouTube channel had one comment saying how long they’ve been waiting to learn more about the pink ladies origins. Is that something we’ve been waiting on? This looks decent enough but I’ve hardly been waiting to get the backstory my whole life.
Why does it say video unavailable for me?
My boredom at constantly mining existing worlds/stories for another perspective is being outweighed by my love of fun musicals
I feel like shows and movies have gotten real bad at time period acting. Like nobody here feels like they’re living or talking in the 1950’s. It feels like everybody is seconds away from pulling out an iphone or using 2020’s slang. Maybe the original felt way too much like the late 70’s at the time and I’ve never noticed cause I wasn’t aliv then but I don’t know.
And please note, this has nothing to do with diversity casting. I think you can cast any skin color and still make the time period feel authentic.
Stop trying to turn Grease into a franchise.
Broadway Musicals don’t lend themselves to that.
Paramount clings to their old ip. A dozen star trek shows, a show about the godfather, and now this. We get it, you were relevant back in the day
Guess they’re not mentioning the internment camps a decade earlier
Jesus. Another “Rise of ___” subtitle?
Well, I guess [some things never change](https://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/yjaxrh/20_years_20_movie_titles_with_the_word_rise_all/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
Also, I love both Grease and Grease 2 but this looks completely unnecessary and stupid.
How much you wanna bet Paramount is doing it solely to hang onto the rights? It’s around that time, isn’t it?
