This is what I need! Literally just purchased this for my 9 month old that freaks out every time I take away the forbidden controller that he desperately wants to teeth on.
My son never had any interest in that controller, until his baby sister took to it. Long story short we had to get a second one to head off the fights Neither kid is fooled for even a second when the real controllers come out though…
I got my daughter one of those toy controllers few years ago. And last Christmas for a present I bought her her own Xbox controller that she designed/customized thru the xbox design lab
Mines 18 months and he doesn’t fall for that one anymore. Yesterday somehow he ordered control ultimate edition for 39.99 and I already have it in my library
They’re kids not fuckin idiots . Or just do the ol’ reliable get a controller with a lead. And give them an identical one. And don’t plug it in properly. Just like what happened in the past to us.
I had to get one of those too because my 1 year olds are obsessed with the PS5 controller to the point where it was the only thing they played with but I could only let them play with one (stick drift got so bad it was literally unusable now anyway) and they fought over it lol.
Try out the copilot mode! I set it up so my 2 and 4 year old could play skylanders while my daughter (11) and I sat behind them with our own controllers assisting them as they played. It’s a really neat feature!
Man just look at that, big buttons, nice big joystick. Looks like it has some good grips on the back. Even has a smiley face on it. If only it had the chrome color like the other one and it would probably be pretty good.
I wish this controller had worked with my daughter. But she learned within a week that it wasn’t daddy’s controller and never bothered with it again. She never wants any controller but mine and if I turn mine off and give it to her while I use a different one, she gets upset and says she wants mine, the one I’m actively using.
I wonder how old he’ll be whenever he figures out it doesn’t work

“A B C D” are all wrong colors in wrong spots and not the same letters as an actual controller. Literally unplayable.

The songs and noises on that toy controller are forever engrained in my head. My kid loves it
Microsoft totally nailed it with their custom controllers. All the colors are vibrant and allows for a lot of creativity
