This is so good
So good and so true.
He was on another level. So literate and clear. The older he got, the harder and stronger the cutting comedy was. Where is there an equal to him now?
I miss this man so much.
The GOAT
He swam in the Hudson River to never catch COVID 😏
Preach.
The world desperately needs more like George Carlin and Bill Hicks. Would be really amazing to hear what they’d have to say about how things are currently.
Ahead of his time…
Timeless observations.
It’s funny because they have changed the name. Now it’s called living rough.
Why? What’s the point of that?
Does it sound better?
Makes it seem adventurous? Trendy?
It’s that a good hashtag?
Are we making them feel better about their situation?
What a weird society we have!
So much more than a comic, Carlin was equal parts social commentator, humorist, and court jester. RIP.
George Carlin is a goddamn national treasure. I had the privilege to see him perform a few weeks before he passed away.
Carlin was a modern day prophet
~~The guy was a treasure.~~
Edit: (sorry)
The guy was a fucking treasure.
Was lucky enough to see him a few months before he died, he was an absolute original.
Does anyone know if there is a homeless magazine in the USA now?
In the Netherlands it’s called the Z krant.
Wonder why I was getting recommended his videos on YT lately.
GOAT
Nothing has changed in 30 years.
George would’ve had a blast today with the Karjenner’s.
He was 30 years ahead of his time.
I love and miss George Carlin so much this guy tells it like it is! I could see him going off about today’s news for sure!
That man was so ahead of his time. He really was genius.
Best Stand up artist on the American culture in history. By far
George Carlin is dearly missed. I think he’s down there screaming up at us. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
George was the greatest comedian of social commentary, human behavior and truthful humorist. RIP
My grandmother was a big fan of George Carlin. She was born in 1929. She was ahead of her time and very progressive. She didn’t have a narrow worldview. She embraced diversity and was accepting of LGBTQ individuals (way before that was a term or acceptable in the zeitgeist). She was never a bigot.

She taught me to embrace kindness and empathy. To stick up and root for the downtrodden in society. She taught me to judge people based on their character and ethic. She’s the reason that I became a GC fan. I watched my first GC special with her when I was around 6 or 7 years old. Jammin’ in NY. I didn’t realize at the time that he was Mr. Conductor from the children’s show Thomas and the tank engine . This might have explained why I was so enamored by him.

I read all his books and watched all his specials. My grandmother was a prisoner of the time and culture that she was born into. She would’ve been much better off in modern times. She would have thrived. She definitely would have stood by her beliefs. When I see George Carlin or hear him, I am reminded of her. Many were ahead of their time by decades. GC and my grandmother were two of them. Some people are groupies or fair-weather fucks. Some people stand by their ideals. GC and my grandmother were cool as fuck, and they always will be. Regardless of who’s following along with them.
