Step 436: in your Bethesda account, you can provide your fax number where so we can send you an address of your closest local store where you can ask someone for a code. And then we ship you a receipt in a brick.
I don’t see a problem with this? Maybe because we’re in a time where everything is digital it almost seems fruitless to have physical copies. Trust me when I tell you that physical copies just feel so much better. Lately I’ve started to get physical copies of one my of my favorite games, I plan on getting one for each platform that does have a physical copy and it feels so premium to do so. Even indie games that usually don’t, have so much more weight to their feel, almost like it’s more legit.
I got DOOM 2016 in Physical Form because back then it was cheaper than a Key from a Keyseller. But I never touched the Disc. I just took the Steamkey and downloaded it.
PC is temporary, DOOM is eternal.
Rip and tear until it is done!
That was a waste of shipping.

Can you actually install and play the game offline with that disc? Or is it just a glorified Steam key?
I’m happy to see they used an Eco box case for this release. Definitely want to be environmentally conscious for this download code in a box.
Didn’t you hesitate when you paid for shipping?
This is good for GME
You bought a physical edition, right? They still sell for people to have on their shelves.

Nice cardboard
when you buy a game on steam and it says delivery fee: $0
i m seriously impressed that this has become an industry standard
They need to spend the money on *something* instead of giving me a decent trade-in value for games.
You bought physical I assume. Stores have been doing this for years now. Get a physical case but a code inside.
when you live in the 2000s:
They should’ve sent you a 3.5 floppy that you’d have to by a drive for just to install a program in dos to get the serial number.
That is sick. I would imagine the value of this item will be incredible in the future

Why didn’t you just buy it on steam?
Great, you have the physical cover and booklet.
I’m fairly sure they’d have emailed you the code if you’d have actually bought a digital edition instead of a physical copy.

Didn’t they just abandon the Bethesda.net launcher?
> The Bethesda Launcher will be shut down on May 11
welp… at least the instructions of this thing are going to be outdated.
…will this code work with Steam? or what now?
