They published so many games I didn’t even realise after looking them up. And a lot of them I played and enjoyed like Clayfighter and Rainbow Islands as well as New Zealand Story.
This was such a scam company. They lured 10 year old me into buying Robocop with amazing Amiga screenshots on the back. The game looked nothing like it on my MSX1.
MRC for N64 forever holds a place in my heart as my first 64 game. I vividly remember this logo from the startup screen and the pickup truck wrap in game.
Every time I read about the “80s video game crash” I remember that here in the UK it didn’t occur and in fact it was the video game boom at the time.
So many great games back in the day. Ocean had some good stuff but companies like Imagine and Ultimate (formerly known as Ashby computer graphics, later Rare) consistently turned out the best.
sure their movie tie-in was very platformay, but the giants of robocop, rambo and even platoon … and the superb batman … but it was their phenomenal output of coin-op conversions that made them great
and then there was the daley “whistlin'” thompson games
You had a different experience than me on the Amiga 500.
[Terminator 2](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=j96HgYc69FQ)is the first ocean game that comes to mind and it sucked balls.
And 90s. Road rash, the strike games, robocop, batman, Jurassic park, worms, even some DiD titles like f22 and TAW as well.
Hunchback was good.

The 3D sections SNES Jurassic Park blew my little mind.

I only remember Ocean for the BAFFLING irony that they published a tie-in Game for the movie waterworld 😂😂😂
C64 Rambo and WWF wrestlemania 👌
‘Lucus Arts’
The Addam’s Family for the NES. Awesome game
Movie tie-in as a platformer guaranteed
I recall them ranging from “OK-ish” to “Good!” TBH.
Waterworld game. It has an outstanding soundtrack!
I seem to remember that Ocean games in general were very difficult.
The small cropped thumbnail looked like it said “CEO.” I was confused for a moment.

Good times.
This also reminds me of Data East. Bad Dudes specifically.
Hmmm.. i remember this logo on a NES game, robin hood or something ? Tough as the devil’s butt
Their games had awesome soundtracks atleast.
Eh . .
Ecco was pretty meh imo
There were so many great companies back then. I remember the Darling brothers creating a small company called Codemasters…and that damn Dizzy git.
Target Renegade and Barbarian were amongst my fav titles on the CPC464.
The Addams Family was legit.

That Robocop theme though 😍
Oh man, F29 Retaliator blew my mind back then on our PC.
Ocean were semi-notorious for awful movie licences, but made some good stuff too.
Platoon on the C64 still slaps.
