Good news, everyone!
Looks like I’m canceling all my plans on July 24th! Time to binge-watch my favorite show
I hope it’s more like the writing in the early seasons rather than the later. They had some really funny moments but as a whole the later seasons weren’t great.
I just hope its good – in the last few seasons there were several filler episodes, and the ending was perfect.
I’m just happy we finally get to see Fry and Leela in a relationship. The last episode was good but so short.
Did it need to come back? No. Am I glad it’s back? Absolutely.
Finally the delivery for Mr. I.C. Wiener
Crypto and covid jokes? Really?

The writing on this seems bad.

This may just be me…but I wish (with given how many times this show has been resurected) they would’ve maybe….tried something different? Maybe age up the characters? Have Leela and Fry with a kid? Perhaps Farnsworth is a head in a jar? Just…try to add something new to the show to give it something fresh and different to say?
I get that the people in charge of the show just wanna keep the status-quo adventures going (I’d bet it’s mostly Matt Groening that wants this), but I feel these characters are getting DANGEROUSLY close to feeling like modern day Simpson characters in that they simply never develop and no longer have a “heart.”
So…blackjack and hookers?
They didn’t really need to say from the creator of the simpsons. I mean shit futurama is pretty well known

Oh good, more topical humor that’s already outdated by the time it airs. That worked so well for the Comedy Central seasons.
I’ve been rewatching the series, and I really REALLY hope they go back to using a full orchestra for the score. Dated references aside, I think what makes the original eps stand out is that they feel so much more epic with real instruments.
Have they changed the frame rate? It looks kinda different, but maybe it’s just me.

I’m a huge fan too, bought the DVDs when they first came out. I’ve still got the box sets. Still enjoy watching the original 4 seasons.
This trailer doesn’t fill me with much confidence I’m afraid.
Sigh. Covid? Really? As if we hadn’t heard enough about it, we want it in a lighthearted distraction 100 years in the future. Good call.
