Man was cool he wasn’t no fool he told her to get the funk out of my face without missing a beat she snapped him to his feet and bumped off into space, yall got your sunglasses on..oh wee want the funk!

And if Funkadelic isn’t good enough for you, check out Axiom Funk – Funkcronomicon. My ex wife bought this CD for me when it came out, she had to order it from Europe if I’m not mistaken. Any Funkadelic fan who has never listened to this masterpiece is in for a treat. An epic version of If 6 was 9 by Bootsy Collins, a version of Cosmic Slop that brings me to tears every time. A lot of amazing artists appear on this album from Herbie Hancock to Buckethead. It’s also the last artwork Pedro Bell did before his death and the last album Eddie Hazel performed on before his death. Must check this album out if you’ve never heard of it. I enjoy listening to this album in order but there are some bangers! Under the Influence, Hideous Mutant Freaks are some of my favs! You will enjoy.
Growing up in rural Nebraska the only music I ever heard was various country and gospel. I have no idea where I found a Fukadelic 8-track but I played those guys over ad over.
For an 11 year old Nebraska boy it was like discovering sex. As a farm boy I never had that experience as I knew about breeding since I was 5. But music like this – that changed my life.
I thought these motherfuckers were superheroes when I was a little kid – now that I am a full adult and have seen them live in several different iterations (even got asked to party with them when I was about 20!), I am inclined to stay consistent in that belief.
Love George lurking in the background. Funkadelic is just the best. I like Parliament too but the sheer weirdness of pure uncut Funkadelic is unmatched in the history of popular (not to mention semi-popular) music.

It’s not what you can do for the funk. It’s what the funk can do for you.

The great George Clinton, ran both Parliament ( Casablanca Records ) & Funkadelic (Warner Bros)
Don’t know why this isn’t the greatest group of all time. ‘Tis in my opinion.
Saw them in Saginaw, MI. with my sister.I wanna say it was 1976. We were blown away !!!
Cosmic Slop!!! Eddie Hazel is the most underrated guitarist ever
Right in front of St George’s Hall, Liverpool
I think there’s more pics from the same day’s session if you Google them.
