Found this among my old games shelf. Never played it as I forgot about it completely existing. Does it live up to the hype and should I also get Odyssey?(heard it’s good)

I love Egyptian stuff so I enjoyed this one. I will say AC has become very convoluted in recent years (I haven’t played Valhalla though) so there is a LOT to do. If you like open world games that have endless things to do and explore, you should enjoy it 😊

    I personally loved it!

It is so beautiful, there is a decent storyline and LOTS to do (including after the ‘ending’ of the game).

You will spend a lot of time just riding around admiring the view…

I’d echo what’s already been said, but also add that I think the DLC is worth a go afterwards as well (on both)

It was alright. I never finished it, the gear score system was off putting. I wish Ubisoft had allowed it to be turned off, just like they did with Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.

Origins takes the franchise in a different direction but I loved it. Odyssey too for that matter but you can definitely see the grind. Valhalla is the one that lost me

It’s an assassins creed game. I enjoy them and enjoyed this. Sliding down the pyramids and murdering hippos with a hammer is fun.

Play origins first (as you already have it). Then decide if you want to get Odyssey. You might realise when playing origins that the game is not your cup of tea and thus would have wasted money on odyssey.

It’s really good if you’re a fan of the series. It was a major breath of fresh air. I loved Odyssey as well. By the time I reached Valhalla, it kinda got stale again. I would love to play them again without the memory of them.

Most has been said, great optics decent gameplay and story but it suffers a bit from what I’d describe as Ubisoft ghost recon paradoxon. If you want an rpg with loot, the loot needs to have stats but if you want to offer a stealth game or stealth mechanics a weapon (here the assassins blade) needs to kill with one hit. But that’s not always the case as it has stats. So it can happen that you take a stealthy approach but alarm the whole base because your blade is too weak. It doesn’t happen a lot and if you take care of your loadout even less so but it’s something to keep in mind. If the difficulty is low enough and you get the hang of the combat mechanics it’s still fun to be forced to take another approach than your intended one and fight your way out.

Origins got a 4k/60fps update yesterday. Opportune time to dive in. Took me about 90hours on my first playthrough.
