Found my grandfathers Nintendo Power magazines from issues 1-69. All in mint condition. Decided to display my favorites in my bedroom.

1-69…nice
Holy shit, that’s cool! If you can find the last issue, that would be a great bookend to the first one you have framed.
OG gamers have officially hit that age. I am happy for all of the ones out there who are still holding it down and educating the new ones on the classics.
Wait…..your grandpa’s? Didn’t think I was that old already. Guess that’s why I see these grey hairs in the mirror these days. I have those magazines in a box somewhere in the basement. If I could only find my bifocals.
How cool! I am sure someone would kill for those.
“Grandfather’s”……..fuck me….*cries in “old”*
Gaming preservation is epic. Looks cool.
Grandfather……man you guys really get to going huh?
This made me feel soooo old
What frames are you using?
My grandpa fought in World War 2.
Dammit, I’m old.
So you stole them from him noiceeee
Oh wow
If you stack them up in order [the edge binding makes an image.](https://imgur.com/rNXXhVI.jpg)
Hope you placed them in a place where there’s not much sunlight, because sunlight will make the colors fade over time.
“My grandfathers” 😭😭😭😭. I feel so old
Grandfathers?! What the hell is this?! Why am I being attacked?
I hope you’re displaying issue #69 🙂
These were mailed to grandpa when he was in his 30s at the time. Right? /padme
This makes me feel sooo old
I remember getting these back in the day. Wish I still had them. Never imagined they’d be worth anything.
“grandfather’s”
lol
Goddammit
69… nice
Your GRANDFATHER’s Nintendo Powers???? God lord I feel old.
I mean, my first console was the Atari 2600
Yo! Nursing homes are gonna be fucking dope with all the consoles and computers that we will have. There will be some epic game nights when I’m 80.
What the hell, My grandfathers were born in 1927 and 1930 stop making me feel old.
Hell my father was born in 1955 so he was 30 when the NES came out in NA and he didn’t have one, I got one in 1991 at age 7.
Again stop making me feel old LOL
but hey really nice setup you have there with the display.
… Grandfathers?
How nostalgic. Reminds me of the time my older brother collected EGM magazines, he had a whole moving box full of them. One of the magazines had the infamous April Fool joke about Shen Long in Street Fighter II.
Honestly, id swap out the bottom right one for one without an address sticker on it
Oh no…I’m that old.
I had every issue from 1988 through 1994. When I enlisted in the military, my parents cleaned them all out. Came home on my first leave to find them all gone.
Woah, super cool!🤩
grandfather? my kid is only 7.
Oh hell yeah. That would be something I cherish for life, and pass down to my (future) kids.
Well, I’m officially old.
TIL I’m old enough to be a grandfather.
True fact that no one asked for; My first girlfriend appears in issue 8. We met about 3 years after the issue dropped. It took me another 3 or so years to put 2+2 together.
As someone close to 40, seeing “grandfather” in a sentence like this with “Nintendo Power” makes me feel extremely ancient.
Jesus, your grandpa?! Thanks, I feel old. Haha
Well, I guess it ages me to complain a bit about how I threw out my Nintendo Power Collection about a decade ago.
I had every issue from #1-120. Most in decent condition. They had lived in a box for a long time though.
Today I Learned that I’m old enough where I could be a grandfather. Damn.
I have about 50 issues of Nintendo Power from the early 2000s I can’t seem to part with. Maybe I’ll do something cool with them too, someday.
Your grandfather was an old gamer right? …. Right?
Awesome! Hey what frames did you use? I want to do the same!!!
Honestly, if you want to keep those mint I would take them down and keep them in dark storage. Just put a reprinted front page on the wall.
UV does damage faster than you think.
