This was a poem, with contested authorship (a bunch of people sued each other over ownership). It was probably written in the U.S. in the 1960s, but may have been written in the 1930s. It was popularized in the 1970s.
In the poem, a man had a dream about Jesus carrying him.
So, it’s merely fictional poetry about a dream. Not something to die in The Crusades about.
There’s an ice cream shop in Willow Springs, NC, that has a line of ice cream made with hot peppers. Sunny Skies. Amazing ice cream. With all of them, they make you sign a waiver that you understand that it is HOT, and could give you diarrhea, all the way to warning you if you have a heart condition, it might not be the best idea.
They had a local news crew years back interviewing them. One of the cameramen was brave, loved hot food, and got the hottest one. They said his face turned red REAL fast, and he was making bathroom runs constantly through the shoot
The hottest of these ice creams is called “Exit Wound.” I ask why the name. They say “Because it burns going in, and it burns coming out.”
