If this underperforms I wonder how Disney/Marvel/Feige will pivot. Given that it’s their only movie next year it looks like they are hedging their bets on this one. I think it will do fine, but this year has been such a bad year box office wise for superhero movies it’s gotten harder to predict.
Anecdotally, the people around me are somewhat over Reynolds and think that Hugh being back is cheap. But that’s anecdotal. I’m also not sure how much nostalgia there is for the fox x verse these days. Both series ended on a whimper and the cast has already been back for cameos on more than one occasion.

Man, I still need to see the second one. First one was a ton of fun.
That being said, this one needs to do a superhero landing on critics and the box office. If the critics or the people reject this one, things may get as ugly as that lovely dog.

Anyone thinks this film is gonna not be as good as the first two since its going to be nothing but nostalgia bait? The whole entire point of those two films were to focus on a story and characters that broke the MCU mold during that time and it showed Deadpool could be interesting and fun without any involvement with prominent X-men characters.
But now we have Wolverine in it, we have almost certain confirmation X23 is gonna be in it, plenty of old uninteresting X-men villain’s, and even some X-men themselves in this film . Mind you, this is all for the sake of furthering setting up a secret war movie but in reality its just a corporate cash grab.
Idk, i don’t think I want to see Deadpool knowing this last film is going heavenly influenced by the MCU machine.

Might be just me, but, Daniel Tosh can take over the role and we probably wont notice it. Not only does Tosh look like a Wade here but he emits a lot of Ryan Reynolds personality. Again, probably just me.
By the time this comes out they will have released the entire movie in images.
