>Set in the 1980s, the film depicts cut-throat machinations between Hong Kong’s jostling business elites amidst the backdrop of the tail end of British colonial rule. It tells the story of the rise and bust of a fictional Hong Kong company called Jiali Group, following the travails of its chairman Cheng Yiyan through 15 years of investigations by the Independent Commission Against Corruption as murders are committed, billions in market value evaporate and millions are spent on litigation fees.
FYI: this has nothing to do with James Bond
Infernal Affairs reunion!
imdb has this film listed as “Once Upon a Time in Hong-Kong” with the original title “Jin shouzhi” which translated into gold finger
Anything with Tony Leung is gonna be on my radar, he’s one of my favorite actors.
Name a more iconic duo
is this their first collab since Infernal Affairs?
Nice try golden face, but you forgot one thing: to kill me
I can’t read the word GOLDFINGER without hearing Shirley Bassey singing it from the theme song to the original Bond movie.
Neither of them has age since 90s when I saw them on TVB..
Made by the same guy who wrote *Infernal Affairs.*
This is probably going to be a much more predictable movie given the Chinese Film Administration Regulations specifying that films cannot propagate obscenity, gambling or violence, or abet to commit crimes.
Basically, the plot is the good guys (police) are in over their heads against the bad guys (big business) who are corrupted, and the good guys will win in the end.
The title is definitely going to hurt the movie. Don’t know why they did this
Damn, remember watching them in 1984 in TVB’s The Duke of Mount Deer and now we here…
I’m glad Andy Lau is still doing things. One of my earliest memories as a child of a singer going into acting.
this guy on the left is fucking handsome
I am sold already.
OMG THATS MY FAVORITE BAND
FYI: this has nothing to do with punk rock.
This shot looks gorgeous
Is there any style Tony Leung can’t make look effortlessly cool?
Andy Lau the all time greatest.
Missed opportunity to cast Chow Yun Fat for the ultimate Hong Kong action star reunion
How is it those 2 gentlemen still look so fine despite being over 60 years old? Whatever it is they’re drinking, I need some of that.
They just stop aging since 2000.
Tony Leung is a goddamn legend
How do they not age? Especially Andy.
Infernal Affairs prequel? lol
I think you mean the Man Who Can Speak With His Eyes
The director also made a film called On His Majesty’s Secret Service. Neither are related to the 007 franchise
I am assuming this is “Once Upon a Time in Hong Kong “
Whos playing Oddjob?
American remake coming 2026
Oh nice. I liked them in the Infernal Affairs films.
Why is it called Goldfinger?
How come this movie has nothing to do with the James Bond movie?
This is the HK equivalent of George Clooney and Brad Pitt headlining a movie together.
seems weird to use such an iconic title for something unrelated to Bond
