Wow, major props to the hair and makeup team this is incredible
I’m shocked how good she looks
My interest is now piqued for this movie. Kristen looks so good as Diana!!😳
[Synopsis via Deadline:](https://deadline.com/2021/01/kristen-stewart-princess-diana-first-look-timothy-spall-sally-hawkins-1234681276/)
>About a weekend in the early ‘90s when Diana decided her marriage to Prince Charles wasn’t working, and that she needed to veer from a path that had put her in line to one day be queen. The drama takes place over three days, in one of her final Christmas holidays in the House of Windsor in their Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England.
Kristen Stewart on the movie:
>*Spencer* is a dive inside an emotional imagining of who Diana was at a pivotal turning point in her life. It is a physical assertion of the sum of her parts, which starts with her given name; Spencer. It is a harrowing effort for her to return to herself, as Diana strives to hold onto what the name Spencer means to her.
Can’t wait to see her bite her lip
I saw this image and I seriously thought it was a photo from The Crown
The look is half of it. Hopefully she has the depth to pull off the rest. She’s not English so nailing a good accent is another obstacle. High hopes.
She looks pretty good but I still find this a strange choice, not because I think she’s a bad actress, I don’t but because to me, Princess Diana always exuded a certain amount of warmth and I’ve never seen that from Kristen Stewart.
I didn’t realize this was a Pablo Larrain film though. That makes me a little more interested.
Meanwhile, Dennis Quaid gets a hat.
It’ll be difficult for her to do better than Emma Corrin in The Crown
After seeing that picture of Dennis Quaid wearing Ronald Reagan’s hat, this is more like it. Can’t believe how good she looks.
How is this Kristen? She looks so different here, makeup team did their job well
This is a step up from Dennis Quaid as Ronald Reagan
the team has also been confirmed:
* Claire Mathon (cinematography) — Portrait of a Lady on Fire!
* Jacqueline Durran (costume) — the Little Women! the Batman!
* Wakana Yoshihara (makeup and hair) — the Diana movie that Naomi Watts did!
* Guy Hendrix Dyas (production design) — all four of the Nutcracker’s realms!
* **JONNY GREENWOOD (score)**
She looks the part. Personally no interest in a movie about Diana or any other Royal since, I don’t know, 1900, but she does look the part.
Oh my god, she looks wonderful. I’m really shocked how good the likeness is here.
Wow! I hope she brings out the charm like Emma Corrin does.
Why is there a sudden glut of Diana content?
god damn makeup and wardrobe outdid themselves
Odd casting. Not the type of actor I’d picture as Diana. I also wonder how that accent will sound like. I would’ve gone with one of those great British actresses, there are quite a few.
Diana’s the new Batman except it’s her kids who get the origin story every time.

I’m going in.
You think this is good, wait till you see Patrick Stewart as Diana.
Playing a real life person on film or stage is more about nailing the mannerisms than it is external resemblance. It helps to look like them, but Makeup and hair are so incredible these days, that so long as you have the same general shape and bone structure as someone, they can turn you into someones doppelganger.

Am I the only one who is tired of hearing about Diana? Honestly she was just a little rich girl in a loveless marriage who wasn’t a total dick and as a result everyone acts like she was tHe greatest person who ever lived. I’m sure she was lovely but I think she gets painted as some kind of saint which she definitely wasn’t. Also she died 25 years ago… just give it a rest
