I played this Game to completion alonside Fallout 2 and the Original Starcraft on a little notebook back in 2015 when I stayed on the hospital for six Months.
It’s such an amazing Game and I love the Sprite work and maps
It was amazing and groundbreaking back in the day. It’s a beloved series in spite of what has been done to it recently. I hate that it’s been dumbed down so much.
The gameplay doesn’t hold up terribly well these days, but the atmosphere and storytelling certainly do. Bethesda could do with taking some cues from the first game when it comes to tone and aesthetics.
I remember when this came out, I was in paris on a school trip and saw it in a shop. Bought it and waited until i returned to the uk to play it….somehow it hadn’t crossed my mind it would be in french which at the time i didn’t speak. so i never got to play it / Didn’t understand what was going on

Fallout 1 & 2 are the best games i ever played

Once upon a time… there was real Role Playing Games.

1 and 2 would allow you to be truly evil.
Hopeing Vault 13 is finished some day (might take a ehile though).

Ah yes. Back before Bethesda made people think a fallout game is supposed to be an elder scrolls game with a theme hack.

The demo for the first one with that closed off area with the containergate was probably the first RPG I ever played.
I bought it because the cover art was cool
we had different standards before the internet became ubiquitous
Kinda funny they call it a new breed of RPG because it’s a spiritual successor to Wasteland. I mean it was really good for it’s time
