For me that would be the first game I played on xbox360
Halo3
I remember how many times I got stuck in those levels and died like hundred times in one section
And now I pass them like they r nothing
It brings some good memories
I can hear this gif.
Same game. I close my eyes when the start menu theme starts playing.
This game makes me want to cry.
I just finished it again on the Switch NSO with the wireless N64 controller. I’m playing Majora’s Mask for the nth time now
Such great games!
I just want a Zelda collection for the switch. OoT, Majora’s Mask, Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess. Take my money, Nintendo.
Spiderman PS1, Pokemon Emerald and XIII (on PS2) are the first games that come to mind for me.
Mega Man 2. Still love the game, soundtrack, ending…pure nostalgia for me.
Hearing this intro or the Final Fantasy 7 prelude make me tear up.
Instantly takes me back to being a child.
Reminder of those friends you lost touch with. The fun you would have playing as a child. The family you had around you.
God the years go quicker and quicker the older you get
FF7 for me.
Yup. Freeing Epona is still high on my satisfaction of doing something.
Chrono Trigger, takes me back every damn time.
Pokemon blue on gameboy color for me. Sitting under a lamp so I could see the image properly.
It makes me jealous of people having a carefree time in there life lol. My life didn’t start getting any kind of good till I was able to get the fuck out of the house. But if any game would bring any kind of good back it would be wow wrath of the Lich king expansion. That game was my escape
This is mine! I was waiting for ages for this game. When the release date came, EB Games told my mom they couldn’t honor my pre-order because they ran out of copies. My mom tore that place up. She knew how long I was waiting for that game because I was driving her crazy talking about it every day. They gave my mom the store copy, and a free Strategy Guide with a little pocket watch from the game. Best Thanksgiving weekend ever!
The Legend of Dragoon
The first few keys of “If You Still Believe” always hit me hard.
Final Fantasy 3 (which we later found out was Final Fantasy 6 in Japan).
Would you like me to repeat everything I just said? *Yes*
OoT was legitimately like nothing else at the time. Playing at release it was almost unquestionably the greatest game ever made.
Bona fide classic.
Ragnarok Online, MMX, or FFIX are those games man.
Hey, Listen!
This and Oblivion
God damn water temple….
Jak And Daxter or Spyro 1 for me
Final Fantasy 8, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Super Mario Bros, SMB3, SM World. I got a bunch.
Is it silent cartographer where you fly onto the beach in a pelican in halo one? God I played that level countless times, sometimes killing the marines and making them attack you lol, so much fun in co-op as well, shame halo infinite just doesn’t have that magic the early ones did
As I was falling asleep last night, for some reason the sound of Link’s footsteps on the Temple of Time floor was in my head. It got me thinking about how the “foley” work in this game is excellent but rarely mentioned. All the sound effects are so good and so memorable.
Donkey Kong Country does this to me. I could replay that first area over and over. The music, the sound effects, it brings me back to visiting my grandma in Delaware, the smell of her house, sitting on the floor in her room, listening to the grandfather clock going off in the entry, hanging with my siblings and playing it in the summer over and over until they beat it (I’ve still never beaten it myself).
The love I have for this game sits right below the love I have for my parents.
I can feel this gif in my soul.
I literally just listened to the full OoT soundtrack earlier today, puts me into full on nostalgic bliss mode. By far the game with the most memorable melodies I’ve ever played. I love every single thing about this game, but the music was probably the biggest thing, and was actually what got me into music as a kid. Much respect and many thanks to the great Koji Kondo!
N64 was awesome… I know ps1 and 2 kinda changed the game, but the 64 holds a special place…
Zelda OoT and Golden Eye were THE GAMES for so many of us…
For me it was The Wind Waker. My very first console game.
For me it’s definitely Elden Ring. every time I turn it on it’s like I’m instantly teleported to a quiet Summer day in 2022
Dragon quest 8 last game me and my brother played before he passed away dam I miss him
Original Legend of Zelda gold cartridge NES for me. Will never forget it.
Unpopular opinion: I prefer the structure of this game much more than BoTW
Ocarina for me too. When I was happy and my family were alive and together,
The flow of time is always cruel.
Link to the Past
Chrono Trigger
Secret of Evermore
Secret of Mana
Super Metroid is mine
