Yup. Everyone wants to party, but not host. Everyone wants to travel, but not be a travel agent.
Story of my life. Ended up doing a lot of solo travel around Europe because none of my friends were interested in committing to travel plans. If you find yourself in the same situation don’t be afraid to travel alone! You meet way more people that way and I ended up having a blast and meeting people and doing things I never would have if I went with a group of friends. Traveling alone isn’t for everyone but if you have the travel bug and your friends don’t don’t let that hold you back.
Then you get it booked and 2 people flake out, and someone tries to change the date because they didn’t bother to book time off work until the last minute.

I had 10 people “100% committed” to a spring break trip.
I had a bus booked, the group rate for the hotel, club access – all of it. The price was unreal because we had that many people.
So I came back to the group and was like, “Ok I’ll need $400 from each of you by the end of next week. That covers the bus, the hotel for 5 nights and our club access. You’ll need to bring money for food and drinks – and we’ll figure out how we can make that cheep for all of us.”
Not a single person ended up paying me. Half didn’t have the decency to tell me to my face they didn’t want to go anymore.
