I remember seeing this in theaters. My friend asked if I wanted to see it, and I asked what it was about. She just said “It’s sci-fi. You’ll love it!”
I went in blind. Not knowing it was sci-fi HORROR. Also I had the biggest crush on Sam Neill at the time.

Yea, probably one of the few ‘date’ movies I went on. Same, went in blind, was scared shitless. Couldn’t watch horror when I was younger. Well made horror film for sure.
Just watched it again and I’m still confused how the ship brings back Dr. grant. Cause if it had the ability to resurrect why would it need a new crew?

This movie scared me so bad as a kid. Absolutely worth a watch if you haven’t yet!
Some poorly written and shot scenes, but damn, what an awesome horror movie. That first flash/gruesome cut is insane.
The only good film Paul W.S. Anderson has directed and not coincidentally it’s one of the few not based on a video game
man … if only they keep the original not so pg version. can only imagine

Went expecting nothing to the movies when released. I believe I still have nightmares about it sometimes
I keep hearing that it’s meant to tie into WH40K, but I don’t think that was ever more than hearsay or wishful thinking. It’s a great movie nonetheless.
