I just watched this movie tonight, it’s part 2 of an adaptation from a French novel.
“Jean de Florette” is part one, with Gérard Depardieu.
Emmanuelle Béart is STUNNING, and the story is quite poignant.
I highly recommend to watch it, or even better, read the books, ones of my favorites in French literature.

We watched this in French class in high school… not sure the teacher was expecting the nudity.
This is a great trilogy.
