Ohh god this reminds me I bought the latest anno on a friday and then it was monday. The weekend went by so fast I dont even know if I played the game haha
I fell in love with the first two games in the series and honestly still play all of them. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens with the new one.
I don’t understand this post. Is this meant to encourage gaming studios to just keep recreating the same shit and never innovate? Too backwards for me.
If you like The Settlers, check out [The Colonists](https://thecolonistsgame.com/) which is, let’s be honest, a really shameless reimplementation of the exact same game mechanics and play balance.
They rename some thingsbut are otherwise extremely faithful to The Settlers.
Ubisoft is steadily hunting for their “WARZONE” or “FORTNITE” they will destroy as many franchises as it takes until they strike gold. I’m terrified to see what Splinter Cell becomes..
Yea ubisoft has gone too far man. I mainly see it in valhalla, p2w af
But settlers series got three different playstyle types, which one is considered old beloved?
I wouldn’t encourage Season Passes as a good thing.
This sub: “Make games the same as the games people like!”
Also this sub: “far cry is just the same game over and over, barf.”
If it wasn’t for 2205 going off the rails 1800 wouldn’t have course corrected.
I loved 2205 though!
This bothers me so much. The settlers were childhood. How can you fuck this up? Just put modern graphics on it and release. Keep it simple.
Besides that: those 4 Season passes is Peak UBuySoft. A Season pass back in the day meant you get all DLC. Now you get 1 big dlc with 2 Little ones.

The problem is now other game developers are copy and pasting games with new skins. Like Elden Ring.
Season Pass: overpriced content that nobody really wanted in the first place
Was looking forward to it but did not realize it was out. Whatever I guess.
Imagine if Ubisoft could make their games just like their dlcs
My god some of the takes in this comment section are terrible. It’s like being on the Assassin’s Creed sub.
I played Anno 1800 and loved it, and haven’t touched it since – how do the season passes work?
how is an unreleased game a huge failure?
I have the original Settlers on DOSBox. An amazing game from the pre-4X era. All time favorite.
The remake? Not so much…
Keep crying about Ubisoft because you think it’s the cool thing to do. I’ll just keep enjoying their games.

Edit: I’m not pre-ordering it though.
Unfortunately both were made by rapists.
My only complaint about 1800 was that Epic games paid them to only sell it on the Epic store. Fuck that shit. I want it on steam.

It is almost like they are two different developers or something.

4 season passes is a good thing in your book?
