I just love how his mate is so confused by wanting to take the piss out of his hillbilly friend but also realising he’s in the company of a musical friggin genius.
This is in my constant go to playlist.
Filthy good song.
Coincidentally, the best guitarist I’ve ever known got so good because he pretty much did nothing but smoke meth and play guitar. He said when he was really tweaking even the fastest solo felt like he was playing in slow motion. No idea how true that is, but given how insane he was at it, I’ll take his word for it.
If anyone gets a chance to, see this man live. His live performances are full of energy and his band can really jam. Saw one of his Halloween shows in 2021 in Asheville, NC and the whole place had a wonderful energy to it. They also play some pretty trippy shit, so it’s not all bluegrass. I didn’t get Covid either thanks to the venue’s mask policy!
Had the privilege of seeing him and Don Julin with a mandolin open for a local band at Bell’s Brewery in Kalamazoo. They absolutely shredded. It was so fun to watch.
I stumbled across this song awhile back after I wondered “Why do modern country singers talk so much about trucks and horses and not meth?” and started searching.
Catchy song

His friend in the back doesn’t move his feet at all for the whole duration.
Saw his band last week and it was seriously one of the best shows I’ve ever been to.
Last time we saw him was right before covid hit. Maybe 1500 people. Those days are gone. His fame has absolutely skyrocketed.
Worst rapper I ever heard.
What can hear is the voices of my ancestors. Love this and this guy. Thanks for posting this.

For anyone reading this right now, Sirius/XM radio is live streaming his tour closer in Cincinnati on the new nugs.net channel 716.
He has blown tf up. My 3 year old thinks this song is Storybots.
That was awesome. Thank you for posting it.
My all time favorite weed dealer in background.
… have you seen what his friend in the green shirt looks like recently?

Too much dust in a baggie.
So funny, I just heard this song for the first time today on Spotify, and now here it is.
The guy in the background reminds me of a Skyrim NPC
Love this version of the song. Just hate the yokels yelling and ruining it.
A couple more for your enjoyment:

He had to have sold his soul to the devil.
Dam I will never understand why this gets posted every fucking week. Why??
The guy in the back always makes me uncomfortable
I just saw him play with Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead.
It was cool man
Damn – now I guess I don’t hate country music. Too good.
god damn this genre of music sucks dick
Anybody hearing this and enjoying it should check out his album “Fiddle Tune X” if you haven’t.
He’s one of the best things to happen to the music scene in a long time.
Love this song, but this one is even better, in my opinion: https://youtu.be/PqfEwne1vDE
Turmoil & Tinfoil
It feels like a bluegrass metal song.

These guys rolled into town a few weeks ago and bought essentially all the cocaine in town. End of my story.
I hate this type of music…..passionately. That being said, my wife dragged me to a concert last summer and it was fucking amazing.
so easy a caveman can do it, just standing in the background
