Excited to see what Ethan can do solo
Wtf is happening? Doesn’t look like a Coen film, at all! It can’t be due to the loss of Deakins, I thought Macbeth and even Buster Scruggs sort of looked Coenish, but this?
Is it digital? Can anyone elaborate on this?

This feels very different to the standard Coen film. But I am pretty excited to see what Ethan could do as a solo.
Looks interesting.
Looks good but you can’t treat Curly like that.
It will be really interesting to see the brothers’ separate work.
Qualley and Viswanathan are both great, looking forward to this.
So Pedro Pascal’s character dies *immediately*, I take it.
2:14 – Looks like Pedro might get his eyes pushed in again… again.
And Margaret Qualley doing her mom’s Carolina accent… love it.
Directed by a Coen, say no more, I’m in.
It’s been a while and yet it’s so bizarre to associate a Coen joint as a singular form. They were the finest artistic duo.
Should of went the interstellar route with Matt Damon here
Half ass movie
Seems like Joel is the Cohen brother that had most, if not all the juice out of the two of them.
I wish the trailer didn’t show me the whole movie
Looks interesting but seems like a “wait for what the general reception is” type of movie to decide if it’s worth seeing or not.
Also side note but the last four months of 2023 are going to be great for movies the release calendar is packed.
Feels like Margaret Qualley is making all the moves to be the next big movie star.
– Star in a Coen film.
– Take a supporting part in Poor Things with Yorgos and Emma Stone
– Take the third lead in a future Yorgos/Emma collab
– Starring roles in AND and Fred and Ginger biopic
On top of all the other interesting decisions and parts she has taken to date (love her in Nice Guys and OUATIH
She might one of the biggest stars on the planet in two years
Edit: format
Joel and Ethan’s last films have each been solo projects. Interesting
I’ll watch anything with Geraldine in it, she’s so fine
For a Coen’s movie this looks super generic visually. Deakins is crying right now
Who is Viswanathan and how has she been in 2 trailers in as many days?
I’ll see anything a Coen makes for life, but pretty darn unimpressed by this trailer.
Seems more like a B-grade Coen ripoff like Maggie Moore(s) or Clay Pigeons than something from the original pair of geniuses.
The look of the film in particular shown here leaves a lot to be desired, perhaps a combination of Ethan being the actor’s director to Joel’s work focused more on visuals and fine but unexceptional Ari Wegner shooting it instead of Deakins or Delbonnel, just appears in a literal sense to be generic and TV-esque. Still, enough goodwill has been built up over 40 years that I’ll check it out and hope to be pleasantly surprised. Do like every actor in the cast.
Let’s hope it’s more Lebowski, and Raising Arizona and less Ladykillers and Intolerable Cruelty.
Not a fan of Qualleys accent here but this looks like vintage Coen story wise. I’m way in.
Looks like a CW show
Meh 3/10
So a lesbian road trip No Country for Old Men?
Margaret Qualley’s accent lmaooo
Margaret is just not believable as an actress, you can see her trying to act in every scene. Was so confused until I learned who her parents are
yikes
