DRAGONS DOGMA is like that one song on an album you keep skipping, till you accidently start listening to it and it’s pure fire 🔥

Or like that band that has always been great and you told everyone about them and how great they were and everyone kinda just rolled their eyes and ignored you but then the band got more and more of a following and it became cool to like them and only then did people check them out
Funny you mentioned this, I’ve had the game installed on my Deck since the first day I’ve had it and still only have only maybe 10 minutes on it.
Is it that good? I always psych myself out over learning a new RPG lol.
I could barely make it to the capital. Saw all the glorious “kill 10 goblins” types of quests and deleted the game. Should I have stuck around for the good parts? When does it finally get interesting?
I remember getting this game like a day or two after it’s released on my local eb games, they literally only have one copy of it, played it and immediately It became my life for a couple of months then replayed it when dark arisen was released. Fond memories of it, specially when I was the only one from my friends back then that refused to play skyrim.
One of the reasons that made dragon’s dogma go under the radar when It was launched was the critics. It received very average and even under average scores, It was bashed for the unique thing It did. Luckly the player saw How awesome It was and It became a classic.
It is great to see It’s revival.
Is the game still worth buying?
Because I looked up gameplay a while back and it looked pretty clunky and repetitive. Kind of like an MMO, but not online.
Is that the whole game or no?
Guess I’ll give it a try
Bought it on release after playing the demo, became one of my faves of the time. Its jank, but its the best kind of jank.
Hugely underrated game that was let down by poor marketing, a slow start and underwhelming graphics.
Infinite Cringe on Youtube is such a delight to watch with this game haha
I had this game sitting in my library for 4 years until one day I was bored and gave it a try. Best game I’ve played in a while
Man I’m so excited for Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Think we’ll be going on 3 years in a row where another fantasy powerhouse sweeps the gaming world off their feet.
found this game in my post-elden ring hunger and I couldn’t believe I never even heard of it
Yeah, it’s fantastic. Love how much weight there is to the combat, as well as the variety between classes. It’s one of the few fantasy games that makes magic feel incredibly powerful (summoning tornados and stuff). Best character creator in any game too, maybe with the exception of a few wrestling games.
Can’t wait for the sequel!
I just hate the pawn system and that’s what ruins it for me every time.
I’ve always tried getting into it, but for some reason I can’t get past the graphics. It’s not as if I don’t play older games or anything, it’s just this game in particular i can’t get over.
I have played Dark Arisen maybe 3 times and loved it untill I get to the main city and start exploring. Then the excitment slowly drops. I wonderd why, but apparently the budget for the game was not enough and the game lacks a lot of content and they want to fix that for this game.
The first hours was amazing, but it got repetetive pretty fast.
I did so many NG+ runs on Xbox 360. Too many even. Still feel burnt out when I try to revisit, so I’m not sure I’ll get the same enjoyment from DD2.
I always play mage/wizard characters and I’ve never felt as powerful as in Dragon’s Dogma when I got the sorcerer vocation. There is nothing like killing a manticore with a single ice spike spell.
I think I’m off to installing it again. It’s due another playthrough before DD2
Legitimately one of the best games I’ve played. I’m so excited for DD2 in March!
