Beautiful voice – and what a range! He almost could sing in place of all 5 beach boys
I adored Nilsson! I even had his album with John Lennon – Pussycats… on 8-track tape. But many on vinyl and a few on cd.
He was the 5th Beatle. There is a good doc on him on HBO or Prime. Interesting dude.
Paul McCartney was the behind the scenes champion of the 70’s band Badfinger, who wrote “Can’t Live (If Living Is Without You)”. Nilsson was John Lennon’s pet and reworked the arrangement and made it a massive hit. It’s all about who you know.
I learned the dangers of putting lime in the coconut from Nilsson. Don’t do it, no matter how cheap you can get the coconut for.
Because Nilsson ruled.
I still have my LP of The Point. Timeless (and strange) children’s story.
