Loved it. The Doctor has been through so much. What a fantastic way of giving them their happy ending whilst still having new adventures with 15. I see people complaining as they’re want to do as bigeneration is a new thing. But what tv show doesn’t introduce new things. I love that we have this new vibrant doctor and we still have the goat out there having adventures with the temple noble family. It’s what they deserve. I can’t wait to say what 15 does and this will joy be the last of 14. A perfect ending and a perfect beginning.
Look. I’m a casual Who fan, but this got me back in.
The show was old when I started watching in the 90s and one thing they’ve been great at is weird plot twists that change the show without making it worse. This is a great example. I’m on board.
Gonna be reaaallll interesting how they’re going to deal with the fact a second Doctor is out there (predominately in London) and conveniently not around to help.
I thought they were going to strip him of his TARDIS and regenerations and do something inconceivable with the Doctor—give him a happy, conclusive ending/retirement. Instead they went the complete opposite direction giving a 2nd TARDIS and essentially writing it in more like a break.
Assuming spin-offs are in the works, I wonder if they’ll still give an ending to this version of the Doctor. Or if we are expected to suspend belief
