Hmm… I trust Davies enough to give Doctor Who one more chance. Hoping he just outright ignores everything Chibnal has ever done with Doctor Who, or hits some sort of reset button. That it was all a bad dream, and Chibby didn’t just defecate all over 60 years of love & growth.
I hadn’t watched Dr who in years (basically since Matt Smith). Turned on TV tonight and thought… Ah cool, Dr Who I’ll give this a watch
My next thought was… Jodi Whittakers actually a pretty rad Doctor. I should start watching this again…
Then, of course happens to be the episode where she regenerates. And when I saw Tenant, I literally dropped my fork. What an awesome twist. Can’t wait.
Does anyone have any advice on how best to keep up with Doctor Who? I know it’s on HBO Max but it seems like it takes forever for new DW content to reach the service. I’d love to see this return when it releases and not months later.
Excited about the Doctor for the first time in years, Tennant is my favourite of the modern Doctors. Jodie Whitaker did a great job but Chris Chibnall wasn’t a great show runner. Can’t wait to see what RTD is going to do.
Haven’t watched since Capaldi but I heard Russel T Davis is/has returned? Could be worth to start again? But I’ve heard the writing under Jodi was terrible
I tried so hard to get into Whittaker’s take on The Doctor. I failed, multiple times. I thought I would be just like Eleven and Twelve, because I eventually warmed up to their eras, and loved them in the end. I have to chalk it up to the writing. Her era just failed to hook me.
Now that RTD is back, and bringing my absolute favorite Doctor (back), and my favorite Companion (back)… are we about to head into another Golden Age of the franchise?
I’m among those who actually enjoyed Jodie as the Doctor (not a great run but had some great moments) and I’m eager to see what Ncuti brings to the role but I’m not gonna lie. It’s damn good to see David back in the TARDIS, even if it’s only for a short time.
Bbc got so desperate they had to bring back David Tennant, I’m not complaining though
Was that The Doctor at the beginning and then The Doctor at the end?
There’s never a more exciting time to be a Doctor Who fan than at regeneration time. All the promise is ahead.

Spoiler tag man, the thumbnail is literally a massive spoiler.
Announced by the BBC – Tennant, Tate and Gatwa will lead THREE episodes in 2023 before Gatwa takes over full time at Christmas.
[Throwback to this thread. They’re officially calling Tennant 14th and Ncuti 15th.](https://www.reddit.com/r/television/comments/ukzvdy/comment/i7sdf05/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
When do we get Matt Smith back?🍀
He looks like Kramer

Thank god I can finally get back into doctor who again
Tennant and Neil Patrick Harris? Okay, I’ll come back for a bit.
This was easily one of the best moments in TV history. Ever.
I had goosebumps when he mentioned the teeth!
OMG MY STOMACH FLIPPED WHEN I SAW DAVID TENNANT 😍🤣

Complete and utter fan service, but unapologetically up my alley, no shame. RTD, Tennant and Donna is a winning combination.
Edit: it is also what I needed, Chibnall era was rough for me

Did they bring back Tennant to recuperate the losses they’ve been getting on viewers?
Someone tell me what the hell is going on here!
The best Doctor and showrunner is back.
Wait, Kramer as Dr. Who? This is genius.
Still in Teal and Orange mode I see… So much for that.
