Desmond Thomas Doss was a United States Army corporal who served as a combat medic with an infantry company in World War II. He refused to carry any firearm whatsoever, and went on to save 75 men in the Okinawa and would earn the Medal of Honor for it.

‟Please, Lord…

The man stuck to his guns..
The movie was pretty good too, mr silence did a great job
balls of steel and nerves of steel too
🇺🇸God bless you Sir. Thank you.
I have two uncles who registered as “non-combatant” and were medics — some people think being “conscientious objector” was the only way (during the draft) to avoid having to potentially take another person’s life. But as a non-combatant you’re still serving, but they find other jobs for you that don’t require carrying firearms.
Ngl, the trauma is visssble.
